Emmalee’s journey
Emmalee Anita Diaz is a small-town girl with an array of talents and experiences. Born and raised in Del Rio, Texas (a small border town), she started her journey with local theatre and dance but yearned to broaden her horizons. She absorbed years of training through a local studio and community theatre but embraced the challenge to do more. Described as a triple threat, Emmalee has the ability to express the story of her character through song, dance, and performance.
Through extensive training at Manhattanville University, Emmalee has the superb ability to portray a wide variety of characters, always engaging and capturing the heart of her audience with the help of her multifaceted vocal ability. Her theatre experience with The College Light Opera Company allowed her to further develop as a performer in a professional setting. Playing roles such as Minnie Fay in Hello Dolly!, Zaneeta Shinn in The Music Man, Fredricka A Little Night Music, and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde.
Emmalee has had the privilege of learning to embrace the journey and have confidence throughout. Now post-grad and living in NYC, Emmalee has two regional West Side Stories under her belt, is still swinging for Pinkalicious Off-Broadway, and about to be on the road touring for the first time… Emmalee is hitting the ground running and chasing her dream!
